Paper Binoculars

3.3 based on 14 ratings

What You Need:

  • Toilet paper tubes
  • Tempera paint
  • Sting
  • Scissors

What You Do:

  1. Start by inviting your child to paint the toilet paper tubes his favorite color. He can use one single color or create a fun random design.
  2. While the paint is drying, brainstorm all the things your child will be able to see with his fun binoculars. He can create a list or make some drawings to remind him later.
  3. Now offer your child some string and invite him to cut a long length, about three feet in length.
  4. Encourage your child to wrap up the binoculars around the middle working in a figure eight formation, connecting the tubes together to form the binoculars!

Your child can attach an additional length of string to use for a strap when using his finished binoculars!
