In this hands-on lesson, students will learn and use two methods of dividing whole numbers. They will roll dice to create their own unique equations for solving!

This lesson focuses on facilitating a rich classroom discussion around the purpose and methods of rounding numbers up to the thousands place. It can be taught on its own or as support to the lesson Rounding with Number Lines.

Students will get a chance to use multiple methods to compare three-digit numbers. They will also get practice using greater than and less than symbols to show their answers.

The peace corner is a space where students may practice previously taught calm-down methods, such as deep breathing and mindfulness. Students will draw a picture of themselves in the peace corner and practice in small groups.
