Here's a Halloween, math activity: have your preschooler or pre-kindergartener carve shapes into a Jack-O-Lantern face and boost her shape recognition skills.

Help your kindergartener practice his shape recognition and develop his fine motor skills by making a scarecrow at home.

Help your child learn science and math skills like sorting, sequencing, and ordering while taking a nature walk and collecting and collaging leaves.

Your child can count out six pumpkins or six crayons, but what is a six all by itself? ThatÃs a much harder concept to grasp.
