Use this lesson to help your ELs quickly find information on a specific topic by looking for a noun and its pronouns in a nonfiction text. It can be a stand-alone lesson or used as support for the lesson Ecosystems Explained.

Teach your students to find the perimeter of polygons using real world examples. They will make polygon pictures using tangrams and practice finding the perimeters of the polygons in their masterpieces.

Students will learn to convert metric units by applying concepts in word problems. Exercises and worksheets incorporate length (meters), and optional practice offers more instructions on mass (grams) and volume (liters).
