In this 3rd grade science activity, you'll experiment with the little-known fourth state of matter: polymers! Mix borax with white glue and watch what happens.

Help your child explore chromatography, which is the process of separating colors or pigments, and create a neat art project in the process!

Try this experiment to give your curious kid a more "solid" understanding of how temperature affects the states of matter.

Is it solid or liquid? Create oobleck and witness the amazingly weird oscillation between the two!

In this sound experiment children listen for differences as they tap on a bag of air, a bag of water, and a wooden block held up to their ears.

What's a liquid? What's a solid? What better way to experiment than by turning a childhood favorite, ice cream, into a homemade science lesson!

Get your hands on a concoction that breaks the rules about what's a solid and what's a liquid.

Encourage your child to think outside the bathtub by making her very own handmade soaps! Perfect as a present, a decoration, or just to pamper herself.

This recipe makes bubbles that not only blow up nice and big, but do tricks and experiments! How do you do it? It's not a secret, it's science!

Make your own marshmallows and mix up some very interesting third grade chemistry lessons while you're at it!
