This end-of-the-school-year lesson will get the students focused on all the things they learned in math class! It reviews different skills with fractions and decimals in word problems using the "Read, Draw, and Write" strategy.

Students will explore how parentheses change the meaning of a number sentence. They will be challenged with a set of playing cards to make a certain number.

In this lesson, students will create story problems to match mathematical expressions involving multiplying fractions by whole numbers. Use it on its own or as support to the lesson Multiplication Models: Fractions and Whole Numbers.

Students will learn to convert metric units by applying concepts in word problems. Exercises and worksheets incorporate length (meters), and optional practice offers more instructions on mass (grams) and volume (liters).
