Use an open-ended graphic organizer to help your students identify the problem and solution in three stories.

Children will use six question words — who, what, when, where, why, and how — to identify the problem and solution in a short passage.

Use this resource with your students to practice not only identifying the problem and solution in a text, but also the character’s attempts at solving the problem.
