What comes after winter? Spring! What comes after the equals sign in a subtraction equation? The difference! In this spring lesson plan, students will look at a variety of spring-themed subtraction pictures and write matching equations.

Adding and subtracting doesn't need to be boring! Learning to add and subtract can be done with a shoelace or while playing hopscotch.

In this lesson, your students will use the background knowledge that they have about counting and sorting to graph data. They will practice answering questions about the graph!
