A fun activity for a hot day, this will give young kids a chance to experiment with beginning science and math â and splash around in the process!

The garden is the perfect place to practice math and science with preschoolers. Get digging (and counting, sorting, observing at the same time!)

Help your child learn science and math skills like sorting, sequencing, and ordering while taking a nature walk and collecting and collaging leaves.

Try this fun garden graphing project with your kindergartener this summer to give him a leg up in math and science while spending some valuable time outdoors!

Preschoolers are fascinated by how colors can be mixed to form new ones. This activity combines color mixing with the concept of melting for extra science fun.

Dinosaurs were huge creatures that left behind huge footprints that lasted for millions of years. In this science fair project, kids learn how dinosaur tracks were left behind!

This experiment works due to a simple principle: plants need light. Build a shoebox maze and watch the plant work though the obstacle course, searching for sun.

This activity is a fun way to "go fishing" with your preschooler, while learning about the concepts of freezing and melting.

In this activity, you child will learn about how heat changes food. On the next sunny day, head outdoors to make a treat in an outside oven! Here's how:

Grow a garden with an environmentally-friendly twist by using plant scraps that usually get thrown away.

From Canada's flag, to the Toronto Maple Leafs, to classic maple syrup cookies, the maple tree is very much a part of Canadian heritage.

Introduce the idea of measuring weight to your preschooler or kindergartener by making a fun and easy-to-use bungee scale to weigh household objects.

In this simple and social activity, children use size comparison skills to find objects in nature that are bigger, smaller, longer, and shorter.

Help your kids fall in love with nature by making a simple clay bird bath. Set it up in your yard and watch the animals venture in for a sip of water.

This measurement activity uses feet to compare objects, but not the ones found on rulers and measuring sticks...the feet on your child's own body!
