Making Predictions in Fiction

They say you can’t predict the future, but with a little help from these activities, you might come pretty close! Making predictions based on reading is a key concept of comprehension, our stash of activities are designed to help your student draw conclusions from all kinds of text -- and to help you teach it more effectively, too.

Making Predictions in Fiction Texts Resources

Making predictions shows the reader is actively involved in the materials and is using their imagination. Students consider context clues, dialogue, character traits, and other elements of the story when imagining a future scenario.
