Worksheet
A Day in the Life of a Scarecrow
Don’t be scared of writing! Tell a story about a scarecrow in this fun autumnal activity! Students will first draw their scarecrow into the colorful fall scene, using their creativity to make it look however they want. Then, they’ll imagine and write a story that describes a day in the life of that scarecrow.
This simple creative-writing worksheet is perfect for first and second graders starting to write short paragraphs on their own. They’ll get to exercise their imagination while also working on important writing and communication skills, such as ordering events in a narrative and using linking words to connect concepts.
