Add Using Compensation: Make a Number Line Model #2

Jump forward and backward on a number line to solve addition problems in this engaging worksheet! These six problems each present students with an addition equation that has two-digit addends. Learners will need to use what they know about compensation to complete each number line and find the sum. 

This worksheet is a great opportunity for second and third graders to demonstrate their skills with the compensation strategy, which is helpful when solving larger addition problems. Learners will also work on their addition fact fluency and get more comfortable rounding and using multiples of 10.
