Alike and Different: Puppies

Discover dog traits in this adorable worksheet! Students will look at a picture of a dog parent and their puppies. They will answer questions about the traits that each of the puppies have. Some traits are unique to one puppy, while others are shared between two or more of the five puppies! 

This worksheet is ideal for introducing kindergartners and first graders to the idea that individuals of the same kind of organism can be similar to and different from each other. This abstract concept becomes more concrete as students look at concrete examples of puppies that have both similarities and differences in their traits, even though they all have the same parents.
