Analyze Drama: The Perfect Plan

Teamwork takes more than a perfect plan in this three-page fourth and fifth grade drama worksheet! Students will read an original two-scene script about the Blue Team’s attempt to win a capture-the-flag tournament at summer camp. As the characters navigate a failed strategy, disagreements, and a second chance to work together, learners explore how dialogue, stage directions, and character actions reveal important details about the story.

This drama reading comprehension worksheet asks students to analyze the narrator’s role, identify character traits using dialogue and stage directions, and explain how Riley’s feelings change throughout the drama. Students will also determine the theme and recognize how the characters’ interactions contribute to the story’s message about teamwork and listening to others.
