Astro-Anagrams

In this tricky space scramble, shoot for the mono—no, the moon! Students will be asked to unscramble each of 10 words to make a new space-themed anagram, such as star, Mars, or solar. Then, students will unscramble the circled letters from each word to find a 10-letter mystery word! 

This activity was created with fifth through eighth graders in mind. Young astronomers will practice spelling while they review astronomical vocabulary. As they puzzle over each anagram, they can also strengthen their problem-solving, critical thinking, and phonics skills.
