Beginning Sound Swap #2

Switch up your letter sound practice with this colorful worksheet! Students will cut out the pictures at the bottom of the page. Then, they will read each of the six words and swap the beginning sound with a new letter according to the instructions. The pictures they cut out will get pasted next to the corresponding new word. 

This kindergarten worksheet can strengthen students’ phonemic awareness and phoneme manipulation. These skills are fundamental for learning to read, spell, and decode words. Students can also boost their knowledge of CVC words generally.
