Beginning Sounds Coloring: Sounds Like Apple

Learning to read starts with recognizing letter sounds! Preschoolers and kindergarteners will practice the sound of the a in apple, then find each item on the page that starts with the same sound. Learners can color in each item as they go to create a beautiful picture for the letter A!

This worksheet will give early readers the opportunity to identify words with the same beginning sound. Recognizing the unique sound of each letter is an important step in learning phonics! As students become familiar with letters and beginning sounds, they can progress to reading and spelling short words.
