Worksheet

Behavioral vs. Physical Adaptations

Learn the difference between behavioral and physical adaptations with this cut-and-paste worksheet! To begin, students will cut out each of the sentences on the second page. Once learners have reviewed the definitions of behavioral and physical adaptations, they will paste each sentence into the correct column on the first page.

This activity will give second and third graders a chance to analyze animal traits and recognize differences between behavioral and physical adaptations. Familiarity with different adaptations will help learners understand how animals can defend themselves, gather food, and interact with their environments. Students can also learn how some animals have different behaviors that accomplish the same goal.
