Worksheet
Bodies of Water: Fill in the Blank
Whether you prefer to play in the bay or have a ball at the waterfall, you’re sure to have fun testing your knowledge about bodies of water in this worksheet! First, students will use context clues to complete seven sentences by writing the correct body of water. Then, they will briefly describe a body of water near where they live and a body of water they’d like to visit.
This worksheet was designed for fourth and fifth graders strengthening their existing knowledge of the differences among bodies of water. Learners can use this skill to describe the world around them and identify geographical features on a map. An understanding of the different bodies of water can also prepare students to learn more about geography in the future.
Work on more geography skills in Landforms: Fill in the Blank, Latitude and Longitude: Find and Label, and Finding Physical Features on a Campsite Map.
