Bossy R Word Hunt

Track down all of the tricky Bossy R words in this inviting phonics worksheet! Students will read through each of eight sentences and circle all of the words that contain ar, or, ir, ur, or er. Then, they will need to choose one of the words they circled and use it to write their own sentence. 

This worksheet is designed for first and second graders and can help students gain a better grasp on r-controlled vowels in words. Students will also practice reading sentences on their own.
