Box Plots #3

Become an expert at interpreting box plots with this sixth-grade worksheet! For each problem, learners are given a brief scenario and a box plot. Students will need to identify seven important data points on the graph: the minimum, median, maximum, range, lower quartile, upper quartile, and interquartile range.

This one-page practice will challenge students to interpret data, determine the five-number summary, and calculate ranges. Students must understand how to read data from different charts and graphs as they learn more about statistics and reporting data. Learners can even chart their own data points as they become more familiar with box plots.

This worksheet is the last in the series. Be sure to check out Box Plots #1 and Box Plots #2! For more graphing practice, try Making Comparative Inferences.
