Break & Create Challenge

Break down a word to create new ones with this fun challenge! Students will use the letters in the word experiment to make as many new words as possible. Each letter can be used only as often as it appears in the original word. See how many words you can come up with!

Intended for second through fifth graders, this fun challenge will build students’ vocabulary and spelling skills. Learners are encouraged to think flexibly about words and letters in order to complete this activity, which reinforces phonics concepts as well.
