Build Word Families: -et

Construct similar words with different beginning sounds in this helpful worksheet! Students will use the picture clues to write the beginning letter for each of the five words. Then, they’ll write the complete words on their own. Finally, students will choose one of the words to write a full sentence with. 

This worksheet is a great choice for kindergartners and first graders working on their phonemic awareness by practicing isolation and segmentation. Students can get more familiar with a short e word family and notice patterns in how words are spelled and pronounced.
