Worksheet
Chain Reaction: Comparing Numbers
Build number chains in this worksheet for third and fourth graders! In the first part of this activity, students will use the provided numbers to complete five number chains. Then, in the second section, learners must write numbers on their own to make each number chain true.
Being able to compare multi-digit numbers is a vital skill. As students become more familiar with the place value of larger numbers, they can feel better equipped to add and subtract with three-, four-, and five-digit numbers. This practice will also deepen learners’ critical thinking and logical reasoning skills as they determine which numbers fit in each sequence.
