Clap It Out: Counting Syllables #3

Clap, count, and color your way to confidence with syllables in this charming worksheet! Students will need to determine the number of syllables in eight different words by clapping once for each syllable. Then, they’ll color the pictures to show the number of times they clapped. 

This worksheet was designed to be used by preschoolers, kindergartners, and first graders. Students can practice using clapping as a method of counting syllables. Knowledge of syllables can help students break down, decode, and spell  unfamiliar words.
