Worksheet

Collision and Energy: Marbles

Apply concepts of energy and motion to marbles in this fourth-grade worksheet! Learners are first provided with a diagram showing two marbles about to collide. Then, using the diagram and word bank, students will complete a series of sentences about the collision. The sentences describe each marble’s speed and motion as well as the transfer of energy that happens when they collide.

By breaking down the scenario and describing each stage of it, students can get a better idea of how energy, motion, and speed are affected by a collision. Learners will be able to apply scientific vocabulary to a real-life scenario, which will help them better understand energy transformations, the laws of motion, physics, and more.
