Colon Usage

Practice using a tricky punctuation mark: the colon! Students will first read a brief description of how colons can be used. Then, learners will read 10 sentences and determine whether the punctuation is correct or incorrect. If the colon usage is incorrect, students are asked to add or remove the colon accordingly.
