Color by Word #2

Reading practice comes to life with this fun coloring practice! Each section of this image contains a CVC (consonant-vowel-consonant) word beginning with B, such as “big,” “bag,” and “bat.” Students will need to read these words and fill in each section with the correct color in order to create a cheerful image of balloons in the sky. 

Designed for kindergarteners, this worksheet combines reading with art to create an engaging experience that will help develop learners’ skill with reading CVC words. As students color the picture, they can improve their speed with identifying short words and practice differentiating between vowel sounds.
