Children learn about and reflect upon the colors, traditions, and themes of Kwanzaa as they color in the kinara and the candles it holds in this greeting card template. A kinara is a seven-branched candleholder used during Kwanzaa. During the holiday, seven candles are placed in the kinara: three red, one black, and three green. Each candle represents one of the seven principles, or Nguzo Saba, of Kwanzaa. One candle is lit each evening, beginning with the middle candle. When you have finished coloring, be sure to include a personal message for the recipient inside!
