Complete the Sentence: Irregular Past Tense

Take the stress and tension out of learning irregular past tense with the help of this worksheet! Students will read 10 sentences and complete each one by writing the given verb in past tense. Then, they will write two of their own sentences using the past-tense form of the given verbs. 

This worksheet for third and fourth graders is a great resource for helping students better understand that sometimes, they can’t just add -ed to a verb to make it past tense. Irregular past tense verbs can be tricky, so it’s important that students become familiar with the many irregular verbs.
