Composing 3D Shapes: Which One Am I?

Build structures with shapes to practice geometry in this colorful worksheet! Students will be presented with a set of six different groups of objects made up of common 3D shapes, including cones, cubes, cylinders, and rectangular prisms. They will need to match each structure to the individual shapes that make it up.

This worksheet is good practice for first and second graders learning to identify common 3D shapes. To match the shapes, learners can use features like the number of vertices, edges, and faces a shape has, as well as the shape of its faces. A strong understanding of 3D shapes can help students as they learn more difficult geometry skills. They can also use these shapes to describe objects in the real world!
