Worksheet

Cut and Match: Divide Three-Digit Numbers Using Area Models

In this hands-on worksheet, students will use helpful models to exercise their division skills! First, they’ll cut out the numbers at the bottom of the page and paste them into the correct boxes to complete each of the six area models. Then they’ll solve each division problem by writing the final quotient.

Intended for fourth graders, this worksheet is a great resource for building students’ confidence with dividing three-digit numbers by one-digit numbers. Learners can improve their conceptual understanding of multi-digit division with the visual models, preparing them to take on more difficult problems, such as division equations with two-digit divisors and division with remainders.

Students needing more support can try the previous worksheet in this series: Cut and Match: Divide Two- and Three-Digit Numbers Using Area Models and Divide 3-Digit Numbers by 1-Digit Numbers Using Area Models.
