Combining Independent and Dependent Clauses to Create More Complex Sentences

This worksheet challenges kids' understanding of independent and dependent clauses by asking them to match up the two parts of a sentence. In the second half of the worksheet, kids will be asked to add an independent clause to a sentence to make it more complex. A list of common subordinating conjunctions are added as a reference.
