Design an Experiment Part 3: Draw a Conclusion

With your experiment data and analysis in hand, it’s time to draw your conclusions! In this worksheet, learners will complete the drawing conclusions step of the scientific method with the help of guiding questions. Young scientists will describe what their data shows and discuss whether it supports their original hypothesis. They’ll also evaluate the efficacy and limitations of their experimental process, then use their new knowledge to revise their hypothesis!

This template is a great choice for helping middle school students confidently execute the steps of the scientific method by breaking it down into manageable parts. Understanding the scientific method is a foundational skill for science literacy that will help students read, interpret, and analyze scientific data and writing in the real world.
