Distributive Property of Multiplication

We use the distributive property to break apart problems with larger numbers to make them easier to solve. In this worksheet, third graders learn what the distributive property is, and how to use it to solve multiplication problems. They then solve 10 one- and two-digit multiplication problems using the distributive property, taking care to show their work. An example gets them started!
