Worksheet

Divide Using a Number Line: Dividends Up to 30

Use a number line to illustrate how division works with this third-grade practice! In each problem, students will use a number line to represent a division problem. Students will start at the dividend, then “jump” backward by the value of the divisor to find the quotient. The first problem has been completed as an example for young mathematicians.

This worksheet is a great way to introduce students to dividing with number lines. By focusing on dividends within 30, students can practice with familiar facts and get a grasp on the strategy before working with larger numbers.

Try Divide Using a Number Line: Dividends Up to 50 or Divide Using a Number Line: Dividends Up to 100 for a challenge.
