Dot the Syllables #5
How many syllables are in the words log, octopus, and rainbow? In this engaging worksheet, learners will look at an image and count each syllable in its name. Students are then asked to fill in the corresponding number of circles with a dot marker, crayon, or other coloring supplies.
This practice will allow kindergarteners and first graders to practice breaking words into syllables. Learners will sharpen their decoding and phonics skills as they identify each syllable. This strategy can be helpful as young readers encounter unfamiliar words.
