Edit the Spelling: Correct Tense

Perfect your knowledge of past and present tense with this engaging spelling worksheet! Students will need to read each sentence and circle the verb. They’ll need to decide if that verb is spelled and used correctly. If not, they will rewrite the full sentence using the correct verb. 

Use this worksheet to give first and second graders practice using verbs in simple past and present tense. Students can improve their understanding of how the inflectional endings -s and -ed are used, helping them choose the correct endings based on the tense they’re writing in.
