Fact Families: Multiply and Divide #1

Figure out fact families with this fun worksheet! First, young mathematicians will solve for the missing number in each fact family triangle. Then, students are asked to write two multiplication sentences and two division sentences for each family.

Created for a third-grade curriculum, this worksheet will reinforce the relationship between multiplication and division and discover that no matter the order of the factors in a multiplication equation, the product will remain the same. Students will also build fact fluency as they practice facts within 100. Fact fluency is vital for learners, as it allows for automaticity and accuracy when working through problems.

Keep practicing with Fact Families: Multiply and Divide #2. If students need extra support, try Fact Family Frenzy: Multiplication and Division #1.
