Crazy Stories: Camping Adventure
Students create their own adventures while choosing names, nouns, verbs, adverbs, and adjectives to fill in the blanks of this camping-themed story. Third-grade reading, writing, and grammar skills are on full display as learners complete the activity.
As students read through the story, they’ll see prompts to add specific parts of speech by writing words on blank lines. There are 37 total blank lines to fill in, but some are repeats (like the people’s names). Students need to come up with names for two people, six adjectives, five past-tense verbs, five plural nouns, six singular nouns, one animal, two “-ing” verbs, two other verbs, and three adverbs to complete the exciting camping story.
