Garden Picture Puzzle: Mixed Operations

Seek out the symbols of spring in this cheerful math worksheet! In a series of six problems, students will determine the value of each of the six symbols. These symbols have the same value across all of the equations, so students will need to use previous symbols to find the value of subsequent symbols. 

This third grade math puzzle is a great activity for getting students excited to practice the four basic math operations. Learners will call on their logic and deduction skills to find the value of the garden symbols. This practice can also prepare students to encounter substitution in pre-algebra skills in the future!
