Worksheet
I Can Volunteer! At Home
Kindergarten and first-grade students learn how to lend a helping hand right where they live! This worksheet helps young learners identify examples of volunteering at home and share how they can help out in their own household.
Learners will look at each example and decide whether it shows a way to volunteer at home, marking a check for yes or an X for no. They'll also complete a short sentence to describe a way they personally can volunteer at home, helping them connect real-life actions to what they see on the page.
By highlighting simple, everyday ways to contribute, this activity reinforces responsible citizenship and positive participation within a family and home community. This worksheet builds foundational knowledge of how communities function and prepares students for later learning about community roles, cooperation, and civic responsibility.
