Ice Cream Sort: Ending Letters #3

Serve up some sweet treats in this kindergarten and first-grade phonics worksheet! Learners will cut out each picture at the bottom of the page, then place the scoop on top of the ice cream cone with the same ending sound. This worksheet focuses on the ending sounds that the letters n, m, and l make.

Isolating and identifying ending sounds helps strengthen learners’ phonemic awareness, encouraging them to become stronger spellers and readers. Practicing with simple CVC words can build confidence and prepare students to work with longer, unfamiliar words they encounter in their reading.
