Learn about the mythology of Greece and Rome with this helpful resource! The ancient Greeks lacked the scientific knowledge we have today to explain the mysteries of nature and how things came to be. In this handout, students will read a brief passage about the creation of Greek and Roman myths. Then, learners are introduced to 13 Greek and Roman gods, goddesses, and characters that are frequently mentioned in myths.
This worksheet will serve as a handy reference guide for fifth and sixth graders who are starting to read and analyze myths. Knowing the historical context of these myths can deepen students’ comprehension and allow them to make inferences about why the myths were created.
