Worksheet

Linear Equations From Tables: True or False #1

Try your hand at matching linear equations to values in a table! In this worksheet, students will solve eight problems by comparing the four rows of the input-output tables to the equations in y = mx + b form. They’ll decide whether the values match the equation, making the relationship true, or if the values do not match and the relationship is false.

This worksheet was designed for eighth graders learning about linear equations. They will practice evaluating these equations and substituting inputs without the help of a graph. Have learners correct the “false” equations for more practice! Slope-intercept form is an important concept for lots of later math skills, so it is important that students get plenty of practice with it.

Keep up the practice in Linear Equations in Slope-Intercept Form From Tables: Matching #1, Match the Tables to the Linear Equations, and Write Equations in Slope-Intercept Form From Tables.
