Worksheet

Make 10 to Add: Matching #2

Identify groups of 10 to help you solve these problems! This worksheet asks students to match three-addend addition problems with equivalent expressions whose addends are 10 and a second addend. Then, students will match these expressions with their sum to complete the worksheet.

With sums up to 20, this worksheet is an accessible, yet challenging activity for first and second graders. This practice is designed to help students begin to quickly recognize combinations that make ten and understand that ten plus a single-digit number is that number in the teens. Finding numbers that make ten is a helpful strategy that students can learn to use to add several numbers more efficiently!
