Worksheet
Make It Active! Changing Passive Voice #3
Keep your mind and voice active with this seventh- and eighth-grade grammar worksheet! Learners will first read about the difference between passive and active voice. After reviewing an example, students will rewrite each passive-voice sentence into one that uses active voice.
Recognizing and rewriting passive voice will help students become more aware of it in their own writing. Using active voice can improve clarity and make writing more direct, allowing for stronger communication both inside and outside of the classroom.
This worksheet is the last in this series, so be sure to complete Make It Active! Changing Passive Voice #1 and Make It Active! Changing Passive Voice #2. For a challenge, try Correcting Shifts in Verb Voice.
