Missing Symbols: Mixed Operations

Find the symbols that complete each equation in this tricky mixed operations worksheet! Learners will be asked to finish eight equations by selecting the math symbol and operation—addition, subtraction, multiplication, or division—that will make the equation true. If neither available symbol makes the equation true, they’ll write a correct equation using two of the three given numbers.

Perfect for fourth and fifth graders, this worksheet can help young mathematicians develop their estimation skills. Learners will use their knowledge of the four basic math operations and place value to decide which operation makes the most sense. They’ll also practice evaluating expressions of all four operations up to the thousands place.

Keep practicing your mixed operations skills in Mixed Operations: Write It #1 and Mixed Operations: Matching #1.
