Multiplication as Scaling: Sorting Expressions #2

How well do you understand fraction multiplication? Find out with this essential worksheet! Without multiplying, students will be asked to determine whether the product of each multiplication expression is greater, less than, or equal to a consistent factor. These expressions include whole numbers, fractions, and mixed numbers.

This fifth-grade worksheet is designed to give students practice with fraction multiplication so they better understand why multiplication expressions with fractions can have a product less than one or both of the factors. Students will build their number sense with fractions, preparing them to learn more about operations with fractions and decimals.
