Newton's Third Law of Motion

Explore Newton's third law of motion with this engaging science worksheet! Students will first read an introduction that defines Newton’s third law of motion—that every action force has an equal and opposite reaction force. Then, they will be presented with six different scenarios describing object interactions. They’ll need to identify the action force and the reaction force in each scenario.

This worksheet is perfect for sixth, seventh, and eighth graders learning about Newton’s laws of motion and the forces that govern the physical world. For review of Newton's first and second laws of motion, students can use Newton’s First Law of Motion and Newton’s Second Law: Mass, Force, and Motion.
